Description
DeepFashion is a research project providing a large-scale fashion dataset and tools for fashion AI research. The dataset contains 800,000+ annotated fashion images. Annotations include: clothing categories, attributes, landmarks, and bounding boxes. Benchmark Tasks: classification, retrieval, detection, and segmentation. It is used by researchers globally developing fashion AI applications and enables the training of models specific to the fashion domain. Open Source dataset with published Research Papers. Addresses fashion-specific challenges such as deformable clothing, occlusion, and high intra-class variation. Applications in: visual search, virtual try-on, attribute recognition, and fashion recommendation. An academic contribution to the fashion AI field developed by the CUHK Multimedia Lab. Extensively cited in fashion AI papers, it demonstrates the importance of quality datasets for advancing AI and serves as the foundation for many commercial fashion AI products. Community contributions continue to expand the dataset.
