About this course

Elements of AI is a free educational initiative created by the University of Helsinki and Reaktor with the goal of democratizing knowledge about artificial intelligence. This course combines theory with practical exercises and is designed to be accessible to anyone, regardless of their academic background or prior technical experience. The program is divided into two main parts: Introduction to AI, which covers the basics of AI, its applications, machine learning, and neural networks; and Building AI, which teaches you how to create your own AI methods. Through practical cases and real-life examples, you will learn what problems can be solved with AI, how machine learning works, the ethical and social implications of AI, and how AI is transforming different industries.
